Badlands is another great addition to the "A Highway Quartet" series by C.J. Box. The only thing that could have made this book better is if Cody Hoyt was still alive and in it. Cassie Dewell, Cody Hoyt's partner in Back Of Beyond, has taken the job as Deputy Sheriff in Grimstad, North Dakota.4/5.

The first book in the Badlands series of Star Trek books by Susan Wright is a bit of a letdown from what I had heard about it. The concept of the Badlands isn't a bad one, an unknown and mysterious area of space where something is lurking, and all four of /5(7).

"Badlands" successfully captures the spirit and flow of the movie (and series) entitled "Fargo". And yes, we're looking at the same backdrop of North Dakota. This action-packed thriller showcases the newly hired Chief Investigator, Cassie Dewell. (Cassie's character was developed in /5().

Two novellas, the first set in Captain Kirk's era, the second in Captain Picard's, each involving an adventure in the Badlands, a mysterious and unstable region in space noted for its plasma storms.

I really liked revisiting The Badlands book few favorite races of mine/5. This book is part of a Star Trek cross over series concerning that area of space known as 'The Badlands'. The first book deals with Kirk and Picard, this book deals with Janeway and Sisko. This review is about the first half of the book.

These events take /5. Theodore Roosevelt in the Badlands chronicles the turbulent years Roosevelt spent as a rancher in the Badlands of Dakota Territory, following the sudden deaths on Februof his wife, two days after giving birth, and of his mother.

Grief-stricken-and driven by doubts about his career after failed attempts as a reformer fighting political corruption-the young, Harvard-educated New York politician /5(18). Into The The Badlands book is the debut novel from author Brian J. Jarrett. It’s a fast-paced, post-apocalyptic thriller that will take readers on a desperate journey for salvation through the wasted remains of a land overrun with the stuff of nightmares/5().

The Badlands series consists of two books, each with two stories in them. The first has stories with Captain Kirk's Enterprise and Captain Picard's Enterprise.

This book has a story for Voyager and the Deep Space Nine crew. This one is quite an improvement in both the writing and the first improvement from the previous book is that the writing seems much better/5(5).

Badlands, in short, is a road novel during a zombie apocalypse. Sound familiar. It is. Very. We get a father, Ed, trying to keep his boys safe in an unforgiving world. Unfortunately, there is nothing here that sets this book apart from it's peers, but many things anchor it far below the elite/5().
